The learning associated with the MEd Leadership has been interesting but I do wonder how this is supposed to prepare anyone for either middle or senior leadership. Some of the course work is not as focused as it could be on the relational aspects of leadership. There is a lot of theoretical coverage in terms of leadership but in my experience their are number of middle and senior leaders who struggle significantly to develop genuine and effective relationships with those they lead. So I wonder why a course that is focused on educational leadership does not have some type of practical component to it.
I still have 2 papers to complete for the MCouns as well as my dissertation which I now will be starting later than planned due to my counselling practicum requirements.
