The Appraisal Research Project which has been running since 2013 has been likely one of the most significant and focused approaches by our sector to "build a national understanding" of how the teacher criteria and professional standards could improve teacher practice and student learning. I definitely believe that as professionals appraisal should and must be a part of what we do but I just wonder what is the best one to do it. Is there really a one size fits all as the project suggests?
The one thing that I could really benefit from is a better idea of specific artefacts of evidence that might be required and clarification about how to present this evidence.
